Ukrainian defense company Fire Point unveiled an upgraded FP-1\/FP-2 family of strike drones at the Eurosatory 2026 exhibition in Paris, featuring extended range, larger payloads, and integrated artificial intelligence capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The upgraded FP-2 loitering munition received a redesigned monoplane wing with a built-in fuel tank, increasing its payload capacity to 200 kg while providing a combat range of 370 km. The company also introduced a mid-range strike configuration capable of flying up to 700 km while carrying a 105 kg warhead. Some FP-2 variants are additionally equipped with two launch pods carrying four S-5 unguided rockets each, allowing them to engage lightly armored and flammable targets before reaching the primary objective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fire Point also presented the FP-1 deep-strike version, which features an enlarged wing-mounted fuel tank and an operational range of up to 2,700 km, compared with 1,650 km in the previous model. The drones are now equipped with AI-based technologies, although the company has not disclosed technical details for security reasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition, Fire Point announced an agreement to integrate German-made Hensoldt radars into its Freya air defense system.
