Large-scale power outages continue across occupied Crimea for the fourth consecutive day after damage to the peninsula’s energy infrastructure. The disruptions have affected most cities and districts, while some areas are also experiencing water supply problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to The Moscow Times<\/strong>, the cities of Armyansk, Dzhankoi, Krasnoperekopsk<\/strong>, and surrounding areas remain without electricity. Meanwhile, power is being restored gradually in Yevpatoria, Kerch, Saky, Simferopol, Sudak, Feodosia<\/strong>, and several other districts, although additional restrictions remain in place in some locations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Crimean energy provider Krymenergo<\/strong> said that outages currently affect 18 of the peninsula’s 29 cities and districts<\/strong>. The company attributed the prolonged blackout to damage to the power grid and stated that repair crews are working around the clock. Parts of Alushta<\/strong> and Dzhankoi<\/strong> are also experiencing disruptions to water supplies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In recent days, Ukrainian strikes have reportedly damaged six electrical substations, including the Nyzhnohirska<\/strong> and NS-3<\/strong> facilities. Earlier attacks also targeted the Tavriyska Thermal Power Plant<\/strong> and the Simferopol Combined Heat and Power Plant<\/strong>. Overall, 50 energy infrastructure facilities<\/strong> across Crimea have been affected since the beginning of July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The newspaper also reported that, following numerous complaints from residents about prolonged outages and demands for restoration schedules, the occupation authorities disabled comments on their official social media pages.
