According to monitoring sources, drones targeted Russia’s Omsk Oil Refinery, located more than 2,000 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.

The Telegram channel Exilenova+ reported that the refinery had been hit, although there has been no official confirmation. Omsk Region Governor Vitaly Khotsenko said that hostile drones had been intercepted over the region and that the consequences of the attack were still being assessed.

Russian Telegram channels published photos and videos showing what appeared to be a fire at the refinery. Fire Point co-owner and chief designer Denys Shtilerman also wrote that the Omsk refinery had encountered the new FP-1 drone.

The Omsk refinery is one of Russia’s largest gasoline producers, accounting for roughly one out of every eight liters of gasoline produced in the country. Russian media also reported that Omsk Airport was temporarily closed for the first time due to a drone threat, despite being located more than 2,000 kilometers from the border.
