Operation Isolation Escalates: Strategic Substation Hits Plunge Parts of Crimea into Complete Darkness

Ukraine’s Defense Forces have struck another massive blow to the occupation’s regional nerve center. On July 2, vast sectors of the Crimean peninsula suffered sudden, compounding blackouts and total internet failure following a targeted assault on key energy nodes primarily powering the Russian military contingent.

The tactical fallout centers on the Saksky district, where two high-capacity electrical nodes are currently in flames:

  • The 220 kV “Donuzlav” Substation: A critical backbone node of the peninsula’s electrical grid.
  • The 110/35/10 kV “Mityaevo” Substation: A massive power distribution center responsible for step-down voltage across local military assets.

As the grid fractures, panic on the ground is reaching a boiling point. Endless, multi-kilometer traffic jams clog the roads leading to the Russian mainland as tourists and occupation families try to flee the developing blackout zone.
