Russian Missiles Kill Civilians in Kyiv as Ukraine Systematically Dismantles Enemy Military Hubs

On the night of September 1, Russia unleashed another massive combined missile and drone attack deliberately targeting Ukrainian civilians. The strikes heavily impacted Kyiv and the surrounding region, leaving at least 12 people dead and around 20 wounded, including children. In the capital, residential buildings and a railway depot were hit, claiming the lives of several railway workers. In Boryspil, a five-story apartment block was severely damaged, leading to the evacuation of dozens and the death of a foreign citizen.

The terror extended to the Odesa region, where strikes damaged a border checkpoint with Romania, hit export infrastructure, and left thousands of families without electricity. Similar attacks on civilian power grids and infrastructure were recorded across Kharkiv and other regions, proving once again Moscow’s intent to freeze and terrorize non-combatants.

In stark contrast, Ukraine continues to defend itself by striking strictly military and logistical targets that fuel the invasion. Ukrainian forces successfully hit drone storage and launch sites in occupied Donetsk and Hvardiiske, a communications node in Myrne, and a command post in Polohy. Deep behind enemy lines, strikes neutralized a Russian military equipment concentration in Verkhnokamianka, decimated a fuel depot in the Belgorod region, and triggered a fire at the Ust-Luga port in the Leningrad region, methodically degrading Russia’s war machine.
