The mystery surrounding his disappearance became a source of fascination, speculation and crowd-sourced detective work to online supporters who called themselves “Corrie’s Army”. The #FindCorrie hashtag frequently trended on Twitter and Nicola’s Facebook page grew to 120,000 followers.
