Overnight, Russian forces deliberately targeted residential buildings and civilian infrastructure across Ukraine, leaving a 4-year-old child and a 49-year-old woman dead in Chernihiv after a drone struck an apartment building. As Chernihiv observes a Day of Mourning, reports confirmed FPV drone attacks on civilian vehicles and shops in Kharkiv region, drone strikes in Kherson, damaged apartment blocks and markets in Dnipropetrovsk region, an airstrike on central Sloviansk, and an FPV attack hitting a medical evacuation vehicle in Kramatorsk.
In stark contrast, Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to direct precision strikes strictly against enemy military targets and command structures. Occupied Donetsk came under a massive barrage of up to 13 explosions targeting the 51st Headquarters of the Russian Army.
Operations on August 25 and overnight on August 26 further degraded Russian capabilities across occupied territories. Ukrainian forces successfully struck a “Kasta” radar station in Kacha, a UAV training center in Luhansk, a military repair facility in Pervomaiske, alongside multiple ammunition depots and fuel storage sites across Donetsk, Luhansk, and Crimea.
