Fuel rationing has officially shattered Russia’s domestic market

What started as a localized issue has transformed into a massive national crisis, with acute fuel shortages now crippling 53 regions across Russia and the occupied territories.

According to data tracked by Novaya Gazeta Europe, at least 13 regions have officially introduced strict limits on fuel sales at the pumps, while 8 more have publicly admitted to severe deficits. This nationwide collapse is the direct result of systematic Ukrainian drone strikes on complex refining units, which sent production plunging to a one-year minimum. The Kremlin is completely running out of options to stabilize the market.
