The Kremlin’s digital iron curtain: Occupied Crimea goes dark as authorities desperately cut the internet to hide massive Ukrainian military strikes and a failing fuel grid

In a panic to control the narrative, occupation authorities have triggered a massive regional internet blackout. The goal? Stop locals from sharing footage of successful Ukrainian precision strikes on military targets and the worsening fuel crisis.

Providers Hit: Major regional internet service providers—including Miranda Media, Volna, Tritel, and Sevstar—have completely dropped offline.

The Real Picture: No matter how much data they block, you can’t hide miles-long gas lines, empty fuel pumps, and burning military infrastructure.

When a government has to disconnect an entire peninsula from the world, it is a clear sign that their control is slipping and the logistics are collapsing.
