Belarus Boosts Gasoline Supplies to Russia Threefold

Belarus has sharply increased fuel deliveries to Russia as the country faces growing fuel shortages caused by reduced refinery output following drone attacks. According to industry data, Belarusian rail shipments of gasoline to Russia exceeded 70,000 tonnes during the first half of June—almost three times more than during the same period in May.

Diesel exports also rose significantly, doubling to around 34,000 tonnes, while more than 4,300 tonnes of aviation fuel were delivered to the Russian market.

The increase in imports comes as disruptions at Russian oil refineries have tightened domestic fuel supplies, pushing retail fuel prices higher and prompting temporary sales limits at filling stations in several regions.

With two refineries capable of processing a combined 24 million tonnes of crude oil annually, Belarus is increasingly helping offset production losses at Russian refineries affected by repeated drone strikes.
